The United States has established a system of providing disability income benefits through the Social Security Administration to those who meeting the eligibility requirements and can no longer work. Unfortunately, filing for benefits is complex.

As a result, approximately 70% of individuals who file for benefits without legal assistance are denied benefits, even though most of them likely meet the medical requirements for disability. When benefits are denied – even if it is the result of a small mistake – a claim cannot be simply updated. Instead applicants must go through the appeals process, which normally will lead to months or more of a delay.

With extensive Social Security Disability legal experience, we help applicants file a claim with all supporting documentation, which significantly reduces the chance of rejection. We represent clients in Social Security Disability matters on a contingency fee basis for the “back pay” portion only (we do not receive a fee for future payments that are not yet due after an award is made). For most matters, our fee is equal to 25% of the back pay, so the sooner that we are retained in a matter, the lower our fee is likely to be.
