BACKGROUND
I represent individuals and families who have been seriously injured, guiding them through the legal process and working to secure the full compensation they are owed. I understand that behind every claim is a person whose life has been disrupted, and I bring both careful preparation and determined advocacy to every case I handle.
I graduated from the Appalachian School of Law, where I was named valedictorian, and began my career as a law clerk at the Virginia Court of Appeals. That experience gave me a close understanding of how appellate judges analyze cases and evaluate evidence, insight I now use to build stronger claims for my clients at the trial level.
In private practice, I concentrate on serious personal injury litigation, including automobile accidents, medical malpractice, product liability, and workplace injuries. I am a member of the Million Dollar Advocates Forum, a recognition reserved for attorneys who have secured million-dollar verdicts or settlements on behalf of their clients.
At Mark Hurt Law Firm, I work alongside a dedicated team committed to achieving meaningful results for injured people across the region. I measure those results not only by the recoveries I obtain, but by my clients’ ability to move forward with their lives.
